FLOWER STREET LISTING
promote. expose. and redefine
about us
CJ Brion-Founder and Editor-in-Chief
CJ Brion has extensive background in the local Orange County music world and saw that this emerging movement would benefit from being broadcasted in a central location. Following through on old plans, he sat down behind a computer every night from November 2008 until February 2009, making bigger and bigger plans for his baby. SD cards and spell checks comprised Flower St's fulltime staff until CJ saw the beast growing too large to handle on his own. Now he para-controls an explosion of the best thing to happen to Orange County since Krispy Kreme opened at the Block; an alliance of the strongest and most creative minds capable of redefining the local music scene.

Eric Gonzales-Writer and Photographer
"Spending the majority of my life in Orange County has taught me one thing..... When you cant count on anything you can count on music." Every once in a while a guy gets a second chance. Eric Gonzales is proof that these people do infact exist. You could even say he's been given his third and now plans on doing everything in his power to give everything back to his local music community. People, musicians, supporters, he belives, truely account for the most amazing individuals the world has to offer. "Ambition and want runs high with this bunch, and its with that drive, that I picked up a camera and began pursuing a career in something that I love." Now almost a full year with Flower Street, it has grown into not only a proud voice for those musicians around him but also a remarkable family with remarkable talents.
Joseph Baca-Writer and Photographer
Joseph is among the majority of music fanatics and show goers populating Orange County. Plucked out of the crowd early summer by Eric, baptized into the Flower St. family, he finds himself collaborating with the few inclined to tell the story of the local music scene. Promote, expose and redefine. Found inland from the other members, Joseph is majoring in English and currently attending both schools within the Rancho Santiago Community College District. He is enrolled in a number of writing classes, including Journalism at Santa Ana College. Flower St. has become a way to showcase his love for writing and music, while giving him the opportunity to meet some truly amazing, talented artists. Keep an eye out, he'll be the one with the big hair snapping away at bands, as he's always willing to stop and converse about music with anyone.

Heather Jean-Photographer and Writer
Heather Jean is impatiently waiting for her senior year to run its course, after which she intends to major in broadcast journalism and hopes to incorporate her interest in music into her career. Though music was significant from the beginning for her, she didn't attend any shows or concerts until last Spring. Since then, she has been spending most of her time following and exploring local music. She loves writing reviews and taking photos for Flower Street and its rare for her to be at a show without a camera glued to her face and her lucky cowboy boots on.

Flower St. is always evolving and growing into a furry monster, but one thing always remains the same: We love music. We love local music. And we want to turn people onto what's actually inside these bands. Our coverage highlights how these artists have evolved into existence and how that evolution continues on in the same way.
